It is my understanding that the Kyuem pieces were discovered sitting
on the pedestals which sit along the North wall of each room in the
Libraries of the Ethereal Tower. They may "appear" there periodically,
or they may have to be created else where and placed there for storage.
It is my understanding that exiles discovered and walked off with 10
pieces during the time Tenebrion had the Portal to the library open.

I do not believe that the Kyuem pieces will discorporate after a
given time, as they are meant to exist in the real world as permanent
installations. In addition, the 'brion brothers have offered a reward for
the return of the missing 10 pieces, which bolsters the view point that
they are permanent.

(As a further aside: I do not believe that any mystic is currently
sufficiently well enough trained to successfully construct a Kyuem.
"Each piece [of a Kyuem] requires more skill to add." Also I draw
your attention to the instruction "Mistakes are extremely
dangerous.")

As I said previously, a successful Kyuem installation will require
(at the very least) locating an area of consistent Ethereal activity,
an Ethereal current. This "current" can be either extremely high,
or extremely low, the polarity of the current is not an issue, what
is an issue is the strength and consistency of the current. It
would need to be surveyed repeatedly (over time) by a trained
mystic.
