Artisans are those who aren't clever enough to be seekers or brave enough to be defenders. Bascially the rag-tag end of the clan, consisting of arty types with limp wrists who aren't really good at anything much but just sit around mooning and spouting terrible poety to each other in some sort of pathetic attempt to be deep and philosophical.

Oh. And some write poncy bloody music.
