Zwei says, "sleipnir."
Sleipnir says, "Aye, ser Zwei"
Zwei asks, "wouldst thou have my spurs, my shield, and my sword?"
Sleipnir says, "Nay, I will not."
Sleipnir says, "If thou carest so little, leave them in the dust heap."
Zwei says, "then name me the black knight and have done with me."
Sleipnir says, "Nay, I will not do that either."
Zwei says, "for i shall carry this stain to my grave."
Sleipnir says, "Perhaps so. We all have our burdens."
Sleipnir says, "And we must learn to bear them with grace and dignity."
Zwei says, "ah, and now you make light of your own squire's death."
Sleipnir says, "Nay, I do not."
Zwei says, "i can't believe my ears."
(Zwei weeps openly.)
Sleipnir says, "That is a burden I also must bear."
(Sleipnir comforts Zwei)
(Phineas watches Zwei.)
Sleipnir says, "Dear Zwei....."
Sleipnir says, "We are all saddened greatly."
Sleipnir says, "But it does not help to cast blame where it is not due."
Sleipnir says, "It helps not thy grief, nor does it help mine."
Sleipnir says, "For great grief we all do have."
(Zwei looks to the sky and howls.)
(Sleipnir weeps with her)
Zwei says, "i hate this place."
Zwei says, "the creatures ring with treachery. there is no peace."
Sleipnir says, "Aye"
Zwei says, "the forest is alive with evil and hurt."
Sleipnir says, "But thy grief is much worse for me, than these animals, and hurts me more."
Sleipnir says, "For thy grief lets not our own wounds close"
(Zwei looks to the sky and howls.)
Zwei says, "and now, even as the rooks do, we submit ourselves to lasting night."
Sleipnir says, "Nay, we do not submit. We fight."
Sleipnir says, "We fight against the dying of the light."
Zwei says, "but we did, sleipnir."
Zwei says, "we took the side of darkness in our ambition."
Sleipnir says, "We did not."
Olmy says, "Greetings, Zwei."
Olmy says, "Greetings, Sleipnir."
Sleipnir says, "This be only a scar."
Zwei says, "perhaps, then, it was only me that did."
Sleipnir says, "Greetings Olmy"
(Sleipnir stands with Zwei)
(Olmy rests.)
Zwei says, "for i have sipped from the cup of lilit's darkness. and that bitter nectar rises in my gorge."
Sleipnir says, "We have all sipped from that cup."
Sleipnir says, "And we be all tainted in some degree"
Sleipnir says, "That I can understand."
Zwei says, "nay. for i did in very truth, whilst thou but didst but attend."
(Sleipnir looks Zwei right in the eye.)
Zwei says, "and the product of that lack of faith, that failure in diligence, cost west his life."
Sleipnir says, "Thou didst thy best. Thou must believe this, and have faith in thyself."
(Zwei sighs bitterly.)
Sleipnir exclaims, "Thou must!!!"
Zwei says, "sleipnir."
Zwei says, "i appreciate thine effort, and it is a noble one."
Zwei says, "and yet i must suffer this."
Zwei says, "for my life has fallen under a doom of darkness and despite."
Zwei says, "my friendship i give freely."
Sleipnir says, "For I value thy friendship above all else."

Zwei says, "my doom is mine own."
Sleipnir says, "We each make our own doom, and thou art making thine in very truth."
Sleipnir says, "Saving only mine honour, and my love."
Zwei says, "and most nobly do you keep thy faith, thy hope, and thy love in very truth, dear sleipnir."
Tuan asks, "where's Zweibs?"
Sleipnir says, "I see my words are useless."
Sleipnir says, "When thou art ready, thou wilt return. This must be my hope."
(Zwei prostrates herself to the noble sleipnir, his lady wife, and all here gathered.)
Sleipnir says, "Oh ser Zwei"
(Sleipnir speaks in a warning sort of voice)
Tuan says, "and I spare it too. So now your life is mine :)"
Zwei says, "it is a tempting offer, tuan. but you know not what responsiblity you hold when you speak thusly."
(Zwei rises.)
(Zwei hangs her head in shame. for tuan accuses her also.)
Sleipnir ponders, "I can do nothing with her, I fear"
