Dear Fellow Exiles,
It is with great sadness that I must tell you of the death of
Solome. Just last night I was lucky enough to find Solome in town. After we
visited a merchant she was armed with the antlers that Solo gave me. We
continued on to the Bard's Guild. She was obviously worried about the
antlers being accepted and she appeared worn out from her vision quest. I
tried to reassure her and hoped for the best.
Sadly, they where rejected and Solome seemed to totally lose what
sanity and hope she had left. She went running and screaming from the guild.
I tried to catch her to comfort her, but she wouldn't stop. I followed her
all the way to the swamp.
I searched and searched the swamp. Having spent a lot of time
there in the past, I am very familiar with the area and felt sure I could
track her there. As I was searching I received a message that she was
fallen. I desperately searched every spot I could think of to no avail.
Solome seemed no where to be found. I was about to give up for good when I
came upon an area that I knew was especially deep and filled with quicksand.
Many creatures had fallen into it never to escape. There near the edge I
found the poem from my mother that I had just given Solome last week. I had
given it to her in the hopes of helping her through her plight. I know that
Solome would have never willingly dropped it and I also knew then and there
that all hope of saving her was lost. She was lost.
If there was ever a better sister, I do not know of her. A
great healer and friend. I had thought that the darkest hours were behind,
that last night, with the celebratory mood of the Festival coursing through
that she would make it through. That the sickness would stop.
I am off to construct a memorial for dearest Solome, in the
hidden glade... Until then, until I can talk without breaking down, all are
welcome to see our last times together, as shown in a crystal that I was
able to make. You can view it here.
Be Strong,
Allinca
