Are you talking to me?

This is usually Baba´s response when someone is being mean, rude , whatever. She may not use those words, but that is generally what she means. I have always thought it quite weird this..

Here you have a highleveled fighter that sees herself as a proud warrior, then a young guy comes along and start making nasty remarks - when Baba reacts violently to that - this young guy reacts with surprise?

Well, I´m not a guy - so I can generally be more nasty in real life to those 7 feet tall muscle-mountains, but still. This is the situation. Baba is closer to an amazon, a Xena - than she is to Barbie. Forget that babe stuff. Only a few are allowed to use that anyway. She will react violently to anyone, anything that is rude, nasty, mean - and she will do so at once- or find a way to revenge herself. She is not your typical sweet and all nice type of female. If you tease her, she can be a bully. Forget her gender, she is a warrior.

She sometimes goes to the arena or badlands. We both think that is fun, especially badlands. I remember a duel in the arena against another highleveled fighter. He couldn´t hit Baba at all, and he went down pretty fast. In the beginning, they had agreed on the best from 3 rounds. After one round, it became evident to me he took this very, very personal. It was like Baba was pounding on this manhood or something. I can understand that sometimes you, the player wants to win something, whatever that is. But when you are so caught up in your character that you simply can´t lose, as you will lose some of yourself with it - then you are really on the wrong track.

Baba doesn´t challenge him to a duel anymore. I don´t want to ruin a guy´s image of himself.

The question I still have in my head is whether it was because he was losing to a female character, a female player, or simply losing. I have this idea that it was the combination of the female char/player.

Instead of reacting to what they know of Baba - they react to me in their own pubelescent ways. And while that can be understandable, knowing how young some of these guys are, it´s still sad I think. Because it reflects their society´s view, or maybe it doesn´t. Maybe it´s just their age or maturity-level. I don´t know.

But I find it pretty weird to extend your pride and selfimage into a small icon on a screen.
